Career Support and Real-World Experience

When Enzo first arrived at LBCC, he knew he wanted to build a solid career in Computer Science, but he wasn’t sure where to begin. The strong network and career resources at LBCC helped guide him every step of the way. “The support from the International Student Office has been outstanding,” Enzo says. “They’ve not only helped me adjust to life in the U.S., but they also gave me resources to explore career paths and prepare for the job market.”

One of the standout features of LBCC is its commitment to hands-on career development. For Enzo, this became a reality when he secured a part-time job at the International Student Office. This on-campus role allowed him to gain real-world experience, make extra money, and build connections with faculty, staff, and fellow international students. “It’s been a great way to learn more about how the office operates while also helping students just like me,” Enzo shares.

Networking with Professors and Industry Professionals

In addition to his job, Enzo has found immense value in the faculty at LBCC. “My calculus professor has gone above and beyond to support us, even creating a Discord channel where we can reach out for help anytime. This kind of extra support isn’t just for grades—it’s about helping students succeed in the real world,” he explains.

LBCC also gives students access to a strong network of alumni and industry professionals, creating opportunities for career mentoring and internships. The connections Enzo has made through professors and the career services team have helped him identify job prospects and internship opportunities aligned with his long-term goals.

Building Relationships and Expanding Horizons

Enzo’s time at LBCC has also opened the door to a wealth of networking opportunities with peers from around the world. One of his favorite campus events, Culture Fest, allowed him to meet students from diverse backgrounds and engage in meaningful conversations about career goals, experiences, and professional aspirations. “Attending events like Culture Fest has been so rewarding because it gives me the chance to interact with people from different cultures, which is vital in today’s global job market,” says Enzo.

Additionally, Enzo is actively involved in the International Student Club, where he has expanded his network, participated in workshops, and built relationships with students who share similar career interests.

Preparing for a Bright Future

Looking toward his future, Enzo is confident that the connections, experience, and support he has gained at LBCC will propel him toward his career in the tech industry. “The career advice, internships, and networking opportunities at LBCC are unparalleled. I feel prepared to move forward and start my career with the foundation this school has given me.”
